Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas is searching for a Working Lead Electrician/Grand MA Operator.
Reporting to the Head Electrician, this position will be responsible for working as part of the lighting team to install, maintain and operate lighting equipment and systems in a safe and consistent manner; Program and Operate Grand MA lighting console for performances as well as rehearsals. Configure, maintain, document and repair Ethernet Lighting Network System. Program AMX based architectural lighting system, maintain focus documentation of conventional system.
The ideal candidate will have training in electronics and theatrical lightings systems and at least 5 years experience as a lighting console operator and programmer, with a minimum of 2 years experience with Grand MA console.
Field experience with repairs, troubleshooting, & the use of digital test equipment to affect such repairs are ideal. Ideal candidate will have strong abilities with computer networking systems and strong abilities in lighting documentation techniques. Familiarity with lighting database programs and AutoCad are a plus.
